"Those who don't believe in magic will never find it" -Roald Dahl

How do you do, my lovely friends?
If you already know a bit about me, I absolutely adore
art, and lovely illustrations. I am an old soul, so I completely
love vintage illustrations. Little miss Belle loves to have
a reading time with me now, and I'm glad that she is quite
taken with books too. Her favorites at the moment are her Beatrix
Potter books, and the Disney Princesses.

Reading is a beautiful thing and I remember when I was a child(and even today),
I loved to look at the illustrations and imagined I was there,
a part of the story. Sometimes, I imagine my own ending of the story.
It's also interesting to see the different versions of a book,
look at how the different artists/illustrators interpret the story in their art.
Reading indeed gives us and shows us magic,
and it is genuinely important to show our children the power of a book.

Below, I share with you lovely, vintage images of children reading.
With their classic clothing and sweet bows on the girls
these pictures are really beautiful ;)

This one is from Orange Marmalade. If you love to read to your child,
or simply love children's books, I recommend her blog. She features
lovely books for children ;)
