Dress Up Games And Co-Parenting

via

This is a guest post by Karen Freeman.

What’s the cutest thing about little kids? They want to imitate the adults! They love to dress up like adults and do some adult stuff. Not only that, they love to be adults. Plus, they grow up so fast, don’t they?

Take Drew Barrymore’s lovely little girl, Olive. On Monday evening, Drew Barrymore showed her fans a photo via Instagram, of her 4-year-old daughter wearing her gold, strappy heels. Adding to the adorable photo is Drew’s caption saying, “OK this might seem like a cheat. But I don’t care. This is beauty to me. My sweet Olive in my shoes.”

The 41-year-old Santa Clarita Diet star, during an interview with PEOPLE in January, talked about her daughter developing her own independence. The actress said, “My older daughter Olive is all about dressing herself now, which is such a change. It’s like, ‘Oh my God, I don’t get to dress you anymore?’ Not that kids are easy to dress because they’re really not. Sometimes it’s crazy combinations and sometimes it’s girly-girl. I think she gets that from me and her dad. Her dad’s much more into [her] looking like a little girl and I’m a total tomboy.

Drew’s daughter is such a cutie! Drew and her ex Will Kopelman co-parent Olive and their 2 ½ -year-old daughter. They called it quits after four years of marriage due to marriage issues that had been going on for a while. Regardless of their love story’s sad ending, they’re able to co-parent their kids pretty well.

  8. co-parenting is so important! It is great when people are able to remain civil for the sake of their children. So many couples take out their break up frustration on the kids and that's really not fair.
