Hello friends. I pray everyone is okay and coping well
at home while we wait for this Chinese virus
to end. I know most of the world are on lockdown
and of course most are at home. For some people
this is also a good time for them to take a break and
work from home.
I can honestly tell you that I myself have been
coping with anxiety throughout our lockdown period, as my
husband couldn't come home because he is a first
responder. I'm not used to him being away for
such a long time and it caused much stress and
depression for me. But, life has to move on of course 💟
To beat some unhappy feelings, and I need to be happy
and strong for my daughter, we've been doing some
fun activities. I also want our quarantine
days to be productive as well.
Do some gardening and photograph plants.
Even if you don't have a green thumb, just try to
take care of some of the plants you have in your home
or even simple shrubs in your back yard. That's a good start.
Photographing plants and flowers is also a very nice
hobby. You don't need to be a pro, just do it for your pleasure
and who knows, it may lead you to want to learn more about
photography.
Journaling
Writing your thoughts in paper is a good way to see what your
mind is thinking. Having a diary like the old times is really
a nice outlet too. Creative journaling is also very nice and fun
Have tea time with your family
This home quarantine is a very good time to spend
with your family. This is one good thing the pandemic
has given us. Have tea or even just eating
snacks al fresco really makes the mood better.
Nothing is better than spending time outside with trees,
plants and the singing birds with the people you love.
Enjoy your alone time
While in quarantine, we have ample time to do
many things. But, when you finally get sometime for
yourself, try to really enjoy it. Go outside and have a hot
cup in hand, breathe, delight in having the
moment to yourself.
